There has been an age old myth that spicy food could damage gut health and causes ulcers. But a recent study in China has put light on the fact that spices actually prolonged life span. People consuming spicy food often reported comparatively less early death than those having almost no spicy food. This fact needs more elaborated research to find out the actual mechanism behind this so that the myth could be totally outgrown.
