Global climatic alteration has become an inevitable threat to crops. Added to this, crop pests are continuously adapting to the changes in the climate and continue to destroy a major fraction of world crop.
Though there has advancement in pesticides but the problem still continue to threaten the farmers all over the world. By switching from growing a single variety of crop to growing a range of crop species (for example : growing coffee, rice and legumes), either at the same time or in rotation, or by introducing structural variety into uniform fields shall help in overcoming the pest issue as this technique works better and stops the pests to adapt to the environment.
